Tryggvagata 4, Apartment 6, 101 Reykjavik

Our beautiful apartment. You can see from the dining room and the bedroom that we have huge windows, but because we're on ground level they are frosted over so that people on the sidewalk can't look in at us. Unfortunately we also can't look out. There's a strange feeling of living in fog.

  1. Wow, is this where Charme and I are staying when we come over? Where will you guys stay? Feel free to crash on the couches...no, don't thank me. It's nothing.

  2. Matt, when you and Charmaine come we will roll out the red carpets and pop the champagne. Then we will slowly reveal that we've moved from this wonderful submarine to a modest two-bedroom with a modest view. After we all cry, we'll fall asleep in the comfort of Jeramy's arms, one at a time. You can go first--just like old times on the train.

  3. When I was eleven and my family was living in Denmark for a year we lived on "Thorvaldsensvej", and though I don't remember exactly the street number, I feel like our apartment was #4. Of course, they pronounced it 'TOR-valdsens-vy', so when I started university I always felt superior to the idiots who pronounced the Thorvaldson building at the U of S, 'THOR-valdson'. It's just NOT 'Th' people, it's just not.

That's my little Scandinavian apartment story...
